Back then, I learned a lesson I still live by today:
Fail fast. Fail forward.
The longer you sit on an idea, the more likely it fizzles.
I’ve seen this play out in both business and investing.
There’s a saying I keep written on a sticky note near my desk:
Money loves speed.
Wealth loves time.
Poverty loves indecision.
And one thing I refuse to bring into this season of my business is indecision.
Remember In June, I told you I made a few mistakes—waiting for calls that never showed, wasting time I couldn’t get back.
But in July, I got smarter.
✅ I made people confirm their discovery calls through Calendly.
✅ I stopped relying on Zoom.
✅ And I picked up the phone.
Turns out, those quick phone calls?
Way more effective than waiting around awkwardly on a blank Zoom screen.
They were short, intentional, and fun—because I’m confident in what I teach.
But let me be real:
It wasn’t always like that.
My first professional job was in recruiting.
I used to dread calling people.
I’d sweat. Overthink. Stumble through my words.
Not because I couldn’t speak but because I wasn’t confident in the value I brought.
Fast forward to today?
I know what I’m doing.
I’ve built the investing skills.
I’ve seen what works.
And making that call feels exciting.
Moral of the story is:
Confidence comes after the reps.
The more you do, the more you trust yourself.
Same goes for investing once you open the account, make your first move, and stick with it, confidence builds fast.
